It's now out for the Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950F).

Today, an image of Samsung mobile division CEO DJ Koh started making the rounds online. Koh was spotted with what appears to be the Galaxy Note 9 at a media briefing. We are looking forward to the announcement and seeing what new features are bringing to a phone that looks extremely similar to last year's iteration.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was a great phone but the placement of the fingerprint sensor seemed like an afterthought. There will most certainly be an iris scanner right near the selfie camera as Samsung isn't expected to adorn the tablet with your regular fingerprint scanner. They stated on Twitter that the head of Samsung Mobile, DJ Koh, said that optical fingerprinting won't be used in the S10 as it results in a bad user experience.

We can't glean much else from the photo, but we do see Koh using the S Pen to operate the phone. Nevertheless, it is already rumoured to have Bluetooth support and the ability to work as a remote controller. Other than the updated internal specs, the S Pen might actually be the most exciting addition to this year's Galaxy Note smartphone (which isn't a very encouraging sign).

Two of these upcoming S10 variants may include a feature called an "ultrasonic FOD (fingerprint on display)" reader embedded in their screens.
