Leeds have missed a trick by not pursuing Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, as he joins Derby County on loan.

Mount has been heavily linked with a move to Derby following Lampard's arrival. When I get on the pitch it is up to me to listen to what he wants and try to flawless that on the pitch'.

Mount is a player that both Lampard and Jody Morris will know well having worked so closely within the academy structure at Chelsea.

The England Youth worldwide proved a massive hit at the Gelredome, netting 14 times and providing 10 assists.

Mount, 19, was part of the England side that won the 2017 European Under-19 Championships and was named the tournament's best player.

The 21-year-old, who has made one appearance for the Reds first team, scored twice in the opening pre-season friendly of the summer - a 7-0 win at Chester FC.

However, Lampard has big plans for him at Derby, telling the club's website: "Harry brings incredible quality and hunger to the table here and he showed that a year ago while he was on loan at Hull. He was wanted across Europe by top, top, clubs and we should be very happy that we have got him".

Lampard's first Championship fixture as Rams boss is away to Reading on August 3 ahead of a home outing against Leeds United eight days later.

"He's going to be a crucial player for us", he explained.

'For himself too, to have a year at this level and feel an important player at an important club, that will be important.

Wilson is the youngest player to ever represent Wales, at 16 years and 208 days old, and went on to score his first worldwide goal in their 6-0 win over China in March.
