English wonderkid Rhian Brewster has signed a long-term contract at Liverpool, rejecting moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

Liverpool have announced the signing of Rhian Brewster to a new long-term deal amid fears the youngster could be leaving Anfield this summer.

The 18-year-old put pen to paper on the contract at Melwood today, where he is continuing rehabilitation from an ankle ligament injury suffered in January.

The attacker has also shown off his qualities on the global stage, having represented England at Under-17 level on several occasions.

Brewster hit the headlines last October when he was awarded the Golden Boot, scoring eight goals as England won the U17 World Cup in India.

The teenager told the club's official website: "I was on such a high at that time in my career".

Brewster has been tipped for big things at Liverpool and will be looking for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to continue to guide his development. It seems like I've been here my whole life, to be honest.

The former Chelsea man expressed his delight to Liverpoolfc.com moments after signing the new deal: "It feels great". I [still] remember my first training session.

Sturridge has been hampered by a spate of injuries during the last few years with the England worldwide passing the 10-goal mark only once over the last four seasons, scoring 13 in the 2015-16 season.
