With that in mind, Sony has opened sign-ups for PS4 system software Update 6.0. The registration is now open to Japanese and North American PS4, though European testing is expected to follow soon.

"Let me put it this way: I hope we'll see events occur so that you don't have to ask me that question next PSX".

If you're interested in taking part in the beta, be sure to get your name down by July 27. You'll need to have either PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now though, and be 18 or over to participate.

PlayStation Japan is now looking for beta testers for the upcoming PS4 firmware update, and it's only a matter of time before Sony Europe and United States will do the same.

To sign up for the Japanese PlayStation Network test, you can go here.

Currently, the sign-ups are available in North America and Japan while there is no word on when the sign-ups will be available for Europe.

If Sony deems it worthy of a test, then it's fair to assume that the next firmware update will be a big one. We're curious! We're also curious about what you think will be in the 6.0 patch?
