Meghan Markle fears her father will 'leak' conversations if they speak

Meghan Markle's family members continue to make headlines with their claims about the new duchess, and Hollywood has taken note.

The Duchess of Sussex has not spoken to her father Thomas Markle in over two months and it seems that their relationship has gone beyond the point of fix.

It is the latest sign that Meghan, for all the duties and conventions of her new life as a Royal, is determined to remain her own woman.

And while the newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan forgave him for the stunt, and phoned him the day after the wedding, he says has not heard from them since.

Meghan's family hasn't been so appreciative of that point of view, however, as her half-sister, Samantha Grant, lashed out, telling the Daily Express, "That old hag can shut her mouth". It's been a whole thing. In the aftermath of their attractive nuptials on May 19 - which saw Prince Charles walk the new royal partway down the St. George's Chapel aisle - headlines have been saturated with negative comments from the Markle family. By taking the high road and not saying anything at all, apparently. Get HELLO! That said, it doesn't seem like Meghan has plans to reach out to mend fences any time soon, either. "It's not like they can fire her".

"If I chose in a month, or couple of months, to go to England - I want to see my daughter".

The tension has reportedly been hard on Meghan.

Meghan Markle is said to be "living in fear" that her dad will leak their conversations to the press if she reconnects with him. "She owes him that", Thomas Jr. wrote.

"She's essentially not able to prevent these kind of stories. Now, everything has to go through official Palace", the source explains.

And the actress didn't stop there with her attack.

Another wrote that the rules should be a nonissue: "She doesn't need to abide by their arbitrary social rules", the commenter said.

Those close to the royal family are confident Meghan can make it through this rough patch, hard as it might be. Friends say Prince Charles has nicknamed his new daughter-in-law "tungsten" after becoming faintly amused by her unbending ways. "There's a rod of steel that runs through Meghan", Nicholl said. "I think Meghan's strategy is to ride out the storm".
