Nokia X6 Launched Globally As Nokia 6.1 Plus

The Nokia 6.1 Plus features hardware that is identical to the Nokia X6 now being sold in China. And, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is yet another mid-range smartphone. The smartphone is, in fact, reported to be making its way into Taiwan soon after Hong Kong. It will be interesting to see how well the smartphone does in the Indian market.

Nokia 6.1 Plus specifications The global variant of the Nokia X6 handset, Nokia 6.1 Plus, has the same specifications as the one that was launched in China back in May. Besides, HMD Global made a decision to compromise on NFC for the Nokia 6.1 Plus. Furthermore, they refrained from launching the blue variant of the smartphone in Hong Kong.

Internally, the Nokia 6.1 Plus shares everything in common with X6.

A quick peep on the device shows that the Nokia 6.1 Plus features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Powering the Hong Kong variant of the Nokia X6 aka. This is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. There's also a microSD card slot for further storage expansion up to 400GB.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus has a pretty commendable camera setup. The front-facing camera is a 16MP sensor with HDR support and it also features Bothie features to take pictures from the front and rear camera at the same time. That aside, it has a 8MP front shooter for clicking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. The Nokia 6.1 Plus bears a dual rear camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel monochrome sensor, sporting an f/2.0 aperture and 1-micron pixels.

HMD Global has finally put rest to all rumours and made the Nokia X6 global variant official. It will be available only in the 4GB RAM and 64GB memory configuration. The mid-range smartphone would retail for 2,288 HKD ($292/Rs 20,155 approx.). The smartphone will go on sale in Hong Kong starting July 24.
