The Prince of Wales has given us a rare insight into his heart and his home as he gears up to share unseen photos of the royal family's dearest moments.

Created to replicate the look of his home, the exhibition includes some of the royal family's most precious moments including an adorable photo of Prince Charles craddling baby George, set in a picture frame on a side table, next to a china duck and bronze dog.

The exhibit itself is displayed in specific Buckingham Palace rooms-including Prince Charles' very own private suite, which means fans and guests get to see even more never-before-seen royal family photos inside the home.

The Prince of Wales will turn 70 in November, and to celebrate the occasion, the Royal Collection Trust are releasing a new range of commemorative china.

One of the highlights of the "Prince & Patron" exhibition is Napoleon Bonaparte's red felt hooded cloak, an artefact the heir to the throne knows well from Windsor Castle, where it once went on display.

According to Vanessa Remington, senior curator of paintings at the Royal Collection, Prince Charles insisted on adding a personal touch.

Each piece on display won't have a text description bow but, instead, audio commentaries by Charles himself.

"It is meant to give a flavour of the Prince of Wales' own residences and reflect his personal involvement".

The family photos will go on display alongside a number of works of art personally selected by Prince Charles for the Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace.

As well as supporting the Queen, Charles has become known for his charitable work, his founding of the Prince's Trust, and his campaigning on the environment and other issues.

The attraction also features work from students and artists from Charles's three arts organisations, the Royal Drawing School, the Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts and Turquoise Mountain, based in Kabul, Afghanistan.
