Xiaomi Mi Max 3 v/s Mi Max 2

Xiaomi will be holding a global launch event on July 24 in Spain and the company has also confirmed that it will be launching two Android One smartphones. Now, listings on two separate e-commerce sites in Romania - QuickMobile.ro and PCGarage.ro have revealed price, specifications and features of Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite. The 64GB storage option costs RON 1,424, which is around Rs 24,600 on conversion. There is also a 6GB RAM plus 128GB internal storage variant, and maximum storage capacity is 256GB. The Xiaomi Mi A2 and the MI A2 Lite smartphones will be available at a starting price of RON 1,288 and RON 943 respectively.

Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Max 3, and it's bigger than ever. Both the versions support expandable storage via a micro-SD card slot The Mi Max 2 was launched in India in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (expandable) configuration. It will be available in 3GB/4GB RAM variants.

One of the main appeals of Mi Max phones has always been their large displays, and Xiaomi took it a step further and expanded the Mi Max 3's display to 6.9-inch - the Mi Max 2 only had a 6.44-inch screen. The processor will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The top-end version of the Mi Max 3, with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, has been priced at RMB 1,999 which roughly translates to Rs 20,375. Backed by a 3010mAh battery, it is said to run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The rear camera is also supported by dual pixel phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. There will be 12MP primary sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor. Both the lens support f/1.75 aperture. The front camera will be a 20MP sensor with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features, including an AI Portrait mode.


Aside from that, the Mi Max 3 is equipped with a huge 5,500mAh battery, compared to the Mi Max 2's slightly smaller 5,300mAh cell.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to sport a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on top.

The Mi Max 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, the same chipset that powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. In the photography department, the Redmi Y2 comes with dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
