The Brazilian joined the Hornets last summer for around £11.5m with Watford beating a host of clubs to sign the Fluminense winger on a five-year deal.

Richarlison arrived at a private hospital in Liverpool on Monday morning as he prepared to undergo an Everton medical ahead of his proposed £44million move from Watford.

It's understood the total deal being brokered could reach €56m, provided several add-on clauses are met on top of an initial down payment of around €39m.

New manager Marco Silva is desperate for reinforcements and has returned to his former club for what he hopes will be his first statement deal at Goodison Park, Richarlison a player he took to Vicarage Road a year ago.

Now, Everton boss Silva has spoken Sport TV (22/07/2018) in Portugal after the defeat to Porto, and as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, admitted that Richarlison and Digne could be Everton players soon.

Everton have, of course, since got their man, with Silva taking over after Sam Allardyce departed the club at the end of last season.

Richarlison, who attracted interest from Chelsea and Tottenham earlier last season, was left out of Watford's friendly with Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday as he finalised terms with Everton.

A source close to the transfer confirmed to Press Association Sport the negotiations had developed quickly following initial contact, but no official announcement is expected imminently.
