The trailer teases what is coming up in the next film, with a young Dumbledore as a school teacher before they move on to hunting Grindelwald.

Warner Bros gave Harry Potter fans at San Diego Comic Con and the world over another look at the legendary battle between Professor Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald in a trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. But really, it's just a classic villain's point of view monologue, ultimately about how a lot of people are going to suffer for what he perceives to be the greater good.

Based on this trailer, it is obvious that The Crimes of Grindelwald is definitely doing one thing different from its predecessor. Thankfully, Warner Bros. released the trailer online shortly after it debuted at the panel, so you can see it for yourself above.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' hits theaters November 16, 2018.

While some were pleased to see Depp in his first public appearance since his harrowing interview with Rolling Stone, many were outraged that the two came so close to sharing the stage. While I'm still not sold on Jude Law as Dumbledore, the rest of the cast looks unbelievable. Even author J.K. Rowling (who also wrote the screenplays for both Fantastic Beasts) dipped her toes into the matter, releasing a statement on the studio's decision to keep Depp in the film.

The actor added that Grindelwald, who appears in the Mirror of Erised when Dumbledore looks into it in the new trailer, "sits very much at the centre of Dumbledore's desires, but also the darkest parts of himself". The film is a sequel to 2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, Poppy Corby-Tuech, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp.

Depp skipped the panel discussion, which featured Redmayne, Law and other key cast members, arriving afterwards in character and delighting fans with a speech.
