A Santa Clara County office pool with 11 members showed up to the Lottery's East Bay District Office in Hayward on July 25 with the Mega Millions ticket matching the numbers of the largest jackpot in California Lottery history, according to Cal Lottery.

- It was a life changing "spur of the moment decision", for a group of coworkers when they chose to do an office lottery pool. "We want to keep our jobs", Reyes said.

The rest of the winners declined to be named and would not say the name of their company.

After over a week, the victor of the $534 million lottery jackpot has been revealed, except it's more than one person who got lucky.

The sole winning ticket was sold at Ernie's Liquors on South White Road in San Jose. We love what we've built there.

The lottery also did not say if the winners had chose to take a lump-sum payment of $320.5 million, or to accept annual payments spread out over 30 years.

This is why you always chip in a dollar for your work's office lottery pool. "We have a good time and want to stay together". They said they planned to use their winnings towards paying off mortgages, kids' college tuition, helping family members, going back to school, travel and investments.

A winning Mega Millions Lottery ticket was sold in California, officials say.

Reyes said the group hadn't played any tickets in the previous 22 drawings as the potential prize climbed from $40 million.

One woman in the group chimed in saying she would invest so she wouldn't be a "one-time millionaire".

"The winners decline to speak with the media or to include a photo with this release".
