Vidal is Barcelona bound after a fee was agreed between them and Bayern Munich on Friday.

Vidal's sale follows shortly after Barca's recruitment of another A Vidal - Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich.

Vidal played a total of 49 matches for the Catalan giants, but managed to secure eight titles since joining the club in the 2015-2016 season.

Vidal, who also won a German Cup and two German Super Cup titles during three years at Bayern, thanked the club for "giving me the chance to embrace a new challenge in Barcelona". "Sevilla will pay Barcelona 8.5m euros, plus 2m in variables".

"The player from Puigpelat ends his time at Barca after three seasons, from 2015/16 to 2017/18, and returns to the club he was signed from".

Vidal himself said on the Bayern Munich website: "Thanks to Bayern and all the fans".

"I made a decision to put in three, four, ten times more effort in training so as to become a professional".

The Chilean footballer became Barcelona's fourth major signing after they roped in Brazillian strikers Malcom and Arthur Melo, along with French footballer Clement Lenglet.

Vidal will not take part in the game between Milan and Barcelona on Saturday night, but Barcelona will be glad for him to join up with the team.
