Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of southern Ontario, including the GTA.

The watch was upgraded to a warning in Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo just after 1:00 p.m.

Damaging wind will be the primary severe weather threat.

Burn scars are in the most likely location for flooding, the National Weather Service says.

Environment Canada said a cooler front is expected to move through the area on Tuesday, bringing relief from the hot and humid temperatures.

The most powerful storms are now tracking south-southeast off the Front Range and will likely be over the Interstate 25 corridor with the very strongest storms passing north and south of Denver proper, the NWS said.

Storms continue to push into our NW counties now.

More showers/storms are possible tomorrow with a MARGINAL RISK of severe weather (isolated severe storms possible).

A line of thunderstorms moved through the area Monday evening prompting Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.
