Will Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen manage to go the distance with their Bachelorette engagement and eventually get married? That's probably for the best, isn't it?

The Bachelorette's Becca Kufrin accepted a proposal from Garrett Yrigoyen in the shocking season finale that aired Monday - months after Yrigoyen's questionable Instagram activity was widely reported.

Becca won The Bachelor earlier this season but was dumped by Arie Luyendyk Jr who then pursued runner-up Lauren Burnham.

Spoiler alert! The following contains details of "The Bachelorette" Season 14 finale.

Poor poor Blake could tell as soon as he met Becca's family that something was up, or at least there was something up in his head. "I'm anxious that something was off, it's not good". She says that her connection to Horstmann was instant and that she knows he would make the best father, husband, and partner in crime.

"It feels like a bit of home with you", she said. Becca says about herself, with Garrett, "I can be all of Becca".

She told him, "You have been the most solid, constant relationship and one that I could turn to anytime". She doesn't quite pull it off, but she does have a good chat with him and comes away thinking he would challenge Becca and be a good teammate. I think you are making a mistake.

"Yay! I loved Garrett from the start", one person wrote. "I was so sure".

The rejection: It's a credit to the producers that they were able to keep us guessing (or at least some of us) until nearly the final moment, when the man she was about to reject stepped out of a motorboat onto the beach. But at the finale's conclusion, his appearance still hadn't surfaced.

Becca and Garrett both shared on the After the Final Rose special that their hometown date is where things really solidified for them. His exit from the show is said to be a real tear-jerker. "You just need to decide what you want". "It's been tough. And I couldn't say, 'Hey, this is my man".

Who knows? Maybe someday there'll be a TV wedding and maybe by then we'll actually feel happy for them. Garrett previously apologized for those double-taps and likes, while Becca urged viewers to keep an open mind and not judge contestants so harshly, effectively tipping her hand that she'd pick him in the end.

"He went through the entire season being open and transparent", Becca concluded.

"She's helped me through everything. When we started talking about that, we got through that together and we're growing and progressing and we're moving forward".

They both agreed it made them stronger as a couple, though were upset by some of the "really negative things" that people had said about Garrett online. On the show, we don't have phones or social media.

By contrast, Blake was dry-eyed although he claimed to love Becca just as much. So I put out an apology [on Instagram in May]. "I didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings or do anything like that. He didn't mean it".

As for the tiny things Becca does that gets under Garrett's skin, the Reno, Nevada, native said he couldn't think of a single thing. "We're very non-judgmental. I'm genuinely honest".

"People have been saying really awful things about [Garrett], but that's not who he is", Kufrin said. But all I could ask for is somebody who owns up to what they've done and who apologizes and wants to grow. "And we're just going to continue that". In fact, Becca said it forced them to have hard conversations and actually brought them closer together.
