Brad Pitt claims he has given his ex-wife $1.3m (£1m) since they split up two years ago, and lent her another $8m (£6.2m). Brad's lawyers point to Angelina's legal docs that were filed earlier this week, in which she asks the judge to grant the divorce quickly so she can be a single woman again. leaving child support and other issues for a later date.

Pitt's attorneys said in the two-page document filed in Los Angeles Superior Court that he "adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid significant child support".

Jolie Pitt's attorneys said in their own court filing Tuesday that Pitt has failed to live up to their informal financial arrangements and she'll seek a court order to get retroactive payments from him.

Pitt's lawyers also slammed Jolie's filing as a "thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage". "As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation", Jolie's attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean, wrote in Tuesday's filing. Yet, a source close to Brad told HollywoodLife.com that Brad's fulfilled his obligations, and that this whole divorce drama "is just exhausting for Brad...it's never ending".

Pitt and Jolie have three sons and three daughters, ages 17 and under.

The couple separated in September 2016 after two years of marriage and filed for divorce shortly after. Jolie Pitt now has primary custody of their children. Those demands include a new visitation schedule for the summer and for Jolie to arrange a phone call between their kids and the children's doctors in which it would be explained that "the court has determined each of them are safe with their father".

The incident was reported and Pitt was investigated by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, but was later cleared of wrongdoing.
