The former "Dynasty" actress told Megyn Kelly she feels "horrendous guilt" after bringing her daughter to a NXIVM class in 2011.

Catherine Oxenburg has been fighting tirelessly to save her daughter India after introducing her to the alleged sex cult NXIVM.

Following Keith Raniere's arrest in March 2018, fragments of Nxivm's disturbing actions have come into the light. "Somewhere deep down I knew this was a bogus scam", Oxenberg told Inside Edition.

The actress discussed the moment she learned India was branded with the initials of Raniere and Mack.

Her twenty-year-old daughter was on the verge of building her own company and they both thought the program might help her achieve her dream.

Kelly then asked Oxenberg what it was like to see that symbol branded on her child.

"I brought her in".

Oxenberg, 56, sat down for two interviews to promote her upcoming book, Captive: A Mother's Crusade to Save Her Daughter from a Terrifying Cult, set to air Monday on "Dateline NBC" and Tuesday on "Megyn Kelly Today".

But Oxenberg is not taking all the credit for the demise of NXIVM or her daughter's harrowing escape. I needed to get to the truth, and fast. At first I felt horrendous guilt that I had participated in bringing my daughter into an organization that was this deviant and unsafe, ' she said. But nothing worked. I couldn't believe the hold that they had over her'.

Edmondson, a former member who told the New York Times previous year about being literally branded by the group with a symbol that incorporated Raniere's initials, continued: "She never recruited sex slaves and has been out since 2013 before shit got weird".

When interventions and quietly going to the authorities didn't work, Oxenberg said she had no choice but to go public with her plight - which is what she says ultimately saved the 26-year-old. "And then I started to educate myself".

News of the cult has shaken Hollywood ever since Smallville actress Allison Mack was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, allegedly running the group alongside its leader Raniere. I spoke to numerous experts and they said, "Would you stop blaming yourself? And India never stood a chance'".

Page Six reports that in the "Dateline" interview, Catherine will reveal what India is doing now and will share a statement from her daughter.
