Samsung Galaxy Note 9 cases already on sale

We're still two days away from the presumed official announcement of Samsung's next phone, but it seems you can buy cases for it already.

We are just a couple of days until Samsung will host one of its Unpacked events where we will likely see the unveiling of its newest flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 9.

The previous leaks said that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will cost around $1,000 but a new leak suggests otherwise. Samsung's S9 and S9+ from earlier this year looked nearly exactly like the previous-generation models, and they didn't offer any compelling new features.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is sure to be a very expensive handset, but in order to make the price more palatable it might come with some freebies, as part of a "Value Pack".

"This is not only a massive and class-leading amount (iPhones top out at 256GB), but it is also a massive U-turn from Samsung which has previously shipped its phones with minimal internal memory and relied upon microSD cards for a bigger boost", the report added. From day 1 - in fact, from even before day 1 - at least one major U.S. wireless carrier is running a BOGO offer on the Galaxy Note 9. According to a report from Android blog Droid Life, Verizon will offer consumers who preorder a Galaxy Note 9 a second new phone for free. This piece of information has been reaffirmed by an image of Galaxy Note 9 Value Pack retail box shared by Dutch site Techtastic.

The Note 9 is rumoured to have a huge 4,000mAh battery, 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display and 6GB of RAM. There is some expectation that Samsung is going to launch pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 9 later this week, so if you've been wanting to put down some money for the new handset, you might not have long to wait. The phone will retain the company's iris scanner for biometric authentication. However, it will also give the option of fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Apart from incremental upgrades, the S Pen will feature a Bluetooth support that will allow users to control key features of the phone like camera.
