Chile midfielder has agreed to leave Bayern Munich for Barcelona.

"To be honest I am very happy", he told Barcelona's official website.

"It is a dream". "I hope to achieve this goal here with Barcelona".

"I'm here to compete for a place among the best", said Vidal, who was accompanied by his son, Alonso, and dressed in black for the presentation.

During his time in Bavaria, Vidal won three consecutive Bundesliga titles and the DFB Pokal in his opening season.

Barcelona last won the Champions League in 2015, beating Vidal's Juventus in the final, and rivals Real Madrid have won it in each of the three seasons since, twice knocking out the Chilean while at Bayern.

"I hope to win three Champions Leagues in the three years I will be here".

Renowned for his combative style of play, Valverde is looking forward to welcoming Vidal to Catalonia, believing he'll bring something different to Barça's squad.

Vidal joined Bayern Munich from Italian side Juventus in 2015 for a fee in the region of £32m, signed by former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.

Abidal responded: "We don't talk about players from another club so I won't answer to this".

"I am here for three years so I don't just want to win one Champions League". Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Ousmane Dembele had already reported to the team.

"He is a player with character, who gives balance on the pitch as well as providing goals and chances", said Abidal, who spent six years as a Barca player, winning four Primera Liga titles and two Champions Leagues.
