Ralph and Vanellope encounter Shank and her unusual cohorts when they venture to the internet in search of a replacement part for Vanellope's game, Sugar Rush.

Gadot will be voicing a new character named Shank, a ruthless race vehicle driver from an intense online racing game called Slaughter Race.

Co-director Rich Moore said that the original versions of the princesses "felt like they were frozen in another time that made it hard for me to kind of identify with or understand them". "Shank's lived a lot, she's seen a lot, yet she's got nothing but kindness in her heart-that's the duality of that character". "I don't want to say just blatant sexism, but the kind of dated, antiquated idea of princesses and bringing it up to a feminist - meaning equal - code".

According to director/writer Phil Johnston, Gadot adds extraordinary dimension to the character.

Arcade racer Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) learned in the first Wreck-It Ralph movie that she, too, is a princess, and in the sequel, she gets to hang out with the older, more established royals - and converts them to her casual-clothing lifestyle.

Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet will feature a number of Disney Princesses, including Mulan, Jasmine, Elsa, Tiana, Snow White, and more, and in a new image, we can see what happens after Vanellope's initial meeting with them. "I can't imagine anyone else embodying that part". "Disney's announcement also teased that Shank's experiences will "[open] Vanellope's eyes to the limitless possibilities of the internet and the excitement of a new world that feels like home".

Ralph Breaks the Internet, the sequel to 2012's Wreck-It Ralph, is all about the internet - but don't think that the filmmakers have forgotten about the film's video game roots.
