The Hollywood Reporter also notes some of the faux Trump stars have already been peeled up.

Two weeks after a member of the "resistance" demolished Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a pickax, a counter-resistance squad struck back, placing 30 vinyl replicas of Trump's star on blank squares of the sidewalk.

The Trump-supporting street artist, who said his crew is called "The Faction", said he spent $1,000 on the fake stars.

Earlier this week, the West Hollywood City Council unanimously approved a resolution to urge the Los Angeles City Council and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to permanently remove Trump's star, citing his "disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values" of the city.

TheFaction1776 is believed to be working along with conservative artist Sabo. Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Look this whole politics has turned into a circus and it's back and forth, we get trapped into playing their games of yelling back and forth and symbolic gestures, I'm into real work".

"Keep taking down the @realDonaldTrump star, and we will further spread Trump Derangement Syndrome by installing a never ending stream of stars", the group, that nicknamed themselves the "MAGA Legion", tweeted Thursday.

The star has been through a rough month after being obliterated by a 24-year-old with a pick axe in late July. A member of the cleaning service that handles the daily graffiti that is placed on the Walk of Fame told the Hollywood Reporter, "We started at 5 o'clock in the morning and we've found about 50 stars".

"Not only would the star be destroyed, but it would damage our property", the employee said.
