Demi Lovato has canceled the rest of her fall tour after being hospitalized for an alleged drug overdose last month. The Mexico shows were set for September 20th and 22nd, and shows in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil were scheduled for November.

It was announced that the fans would be able to receive refunds for their purchased tickets starting tomorrow, August 10. "This approach was based on what has worked for Demi in the past, when she lived in an in-patient rehabilitation center over a year".

Lovato was hospitalized in July when she overdosed following a relapse after six years of sobriety.

"Ellen told Demi that their beach house [in Santa Barbra, Calif.] is hers whenever she wants it. She has finally come to terms with what she'd been doing to herself and her body". Thanks so much for watching, I'm your host Dariany Santana, and I'll see you next time! It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet, ' she wrote in the statement.

She added: "I have always found that my friends who have gone through recovery are the most incredible people".

At the weekend, Lovato took to social media, telling her followers: "I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery".
