Michy Batshuayi has agreed to join Valencia on loan after Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri explained to him he would only play a bit-part role at Stamford Bridge this season.

The 24-year-old Belgium worldwide spent part of last season on loan at German club Borussia Dortmund, scoring nine times in 14 appearances.

Valencia said: "Valencia CF have reached this Friday an agreement with Chelsea FC for the transfer of Michy Batshuayi until the end of this season".

The Belgium global made 19 of his 20 league appearances in 2016-17 from the bench and scored five goals, including the strike that secured Chelsea the Premier League title at West Brom.

Last season, after playing for Chelsea, the Belgian signed with Borussia Dortmund in the winter market, where he gave some great performances but now he lands at Estadio Mestalla to play in the Champions League.

He struck 10 goals in all competitions in his second season with Chelsea but in January was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund, where he scored seven times in 10 Bundesliga appearances.

It is being reported that Valencia will not have an option to buy the player permanently at the end of the deal.
