Trump slams former White House aide Omarosa as 'dog'

Trump on Monday denied the existence of any such tape, citing the show's former producer, Mark Burnett. "Omarosa's actually a very nice person", he said at a Black History Month breakfast a year ago, in stark contrast to his more recent tweets.

In her new book, Unhinged, Omarosa explained: "It's my opinion that Melania was forced to go to the border that day in June, essentially, to mop up her husband's mess".

Ms Manigault-Newman also revealed that she was sacked by then - incoming Chief of Staff, John Kelly in December 2017, and claimed she was forcibly removed from the White House. Colbert had a slightly different take on Trump's tweet about the news "legitimizing" Omarosa, noting that there's a tiny problem with how much of the media has been dismissing her as an unreliable figure.

In the recording, which the Associated Press independently listened to, Kelly is heard saying he wants to talk with Manigault Newman about leaving the White House. Manigault was hired and then quickly fired by the White House.

Pierson: "He said. No, he said it".

The pressure on Manigault Newman increased, as the Trump presidential campaign filed arbitration action against her, alleging a breach of a confidentiality agreement.

Manigault Newman is an unlikely candidate for a campaign job, given that she was let go for unprofessional conduct like hosting a bridal party photo shoot at the White House.

"It's an outrage", Andy Wright, an associate legal counsel in the Obama White House, told TPM.

Newman claimed she had already heard of Trump's racism while she was serving his administration during the presidential campaign.

"She never pulled me aside, never said to me, 'Hey, listen, I heard the president say this and I don't know what to do with it'".

Conway appeared unfazed when asked about the former White House aide's claims during a Sunday ABC News interview. It's the first account by a departed, disgraced Trump White House official - of which there have been many - to actually admit complicity, the abetting of a duplicitous, bigoted administration.

In her statement, Patton denied that she had participated "in a conference call with Katrina Pierson advising me, Jason Miller and Omarosa Manigault-Newman that Frank Luntz had heard President Donald J. Trump use a derogatory racial term".

Shortly after Manigault Newman released the second recording, Trump took to Twitter to attack his former aide. She said "the very idea" that an employee would secretly record inside the Situation Room "shows a blatant disregard for our national security".

In addition, Manigault Newman may have broken a nondisclosure agreement that everyone in the West Wing must sign, Kellyanne Conway said on August 12.

Porn star Stormy Daniels signed an NDA with a place for a signature by a Trump pseudonym, though the president never signed it.

In another tweet, Trump said he chided Manigault Newman to counter "fake news", the moniker he uses for a majority of the legacy media outlets.

The "Daily Show" host added: "Seriously, though, Omarosa had to spend a year in the White House to learn that Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing".
