Can you tell Motorola's new phone apart from Apple's iPhone X?

Please send us your Moto iPhone X P20 P30 jokes, we've run out. The design is so closely similar that it looks as if someone replaced the Apple logo with Motorola's.

The design of the Moto P30 is so similar to the iPhone X that doing a reverse Google image search of the P30 brings up photos of the iPhone X. As if the blatant design rip off was not enough, Motorola's advertising materials show the P30 with a wallpaper that's very similar to that of the iPhone X.

In terms of optics, the Moto P30 features a 16-megapixel primary rear OV16B camera sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a secondary 5-megapixel OV5675 sensor (f/2.2 aperture) with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, and full-HD video recording capabilities. Motorola calls the new color "Aurora".

Apart from copying the iPhone X's design, Motorola has also copied Huawei's twilight paint job for the P30. However, as of now, the device will arrive in China before it is available to the rest of the world.

Moto P30 price in China is set at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 21,400) for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 25,400) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage. The 6.2-inch display has a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is mandatory nowadays. The smartphone is said to pack in a 2,820mAh battery underneath the hood. With 12-megapixels camera at the front and 16MP+5MP at the back, the device falls under the midrange category. This is all for now, folks.

Connectivity options on the Moto P30 include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac with hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Despite the design rip off and the P30 coming with a notch, Motorola seems to have missed the memo about including face unlock on the device for that complete experience. Let us know in the comments.
