CJ McCollum rips 'disgusting' stars who join Warriors

The Portland Trail Blazers guard was not pleased when a video of him chastising the Golden State Warriors began circulating on social media weeks after the fact. But the internet never forgets, so you better believe "Im trying Jennifer" memes will be out in full force the next time McCollum and/or the Blazers struggle. "Disgusting" was the word he used to describe the act of star players joining the best team in the National Basketball Association rather than seeking to build something unique elsewhere. McCollum even called it "disgusting". I was raised differently. "[They] want to really win on their own or in their certain organizations and aren't just going to jump the bandwagon".

Durant certainly swallowed his pride by signing with the Warriors in 2016, having just lost to them in the Conference Finals in a riveting seven-game series as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He didn't come close to sniffing the playoffs in six-plus seasons with the lowly Sacramento Kings and was sidelined for the Pelicans' playoff run past year as they played considerably better without him.

Take DeMarcus Cousins, for example, who, not too long ago, was a max player, yet he ended up signing with the Dubs for only $5.3 million.

McCollum: It's disgusting. I would never do that.

No word on whether McCollum will get his shirt, but a fan quickly made up a prototype for McCollum's jersey next season.
