Dave Bautista Continues To Throw Shade At Disney For Firing James Gunn

However, Feige stands by the studio's decision to not bring back Gunn for the third instalment.

After the meeting, it was decided that Gunn would not be reinstated.

This is not the first time Bautista has taken a swing at his current employer, saying in a previous tweet that working for Disney is "pretty nauseating" after Gunn was sacked as director from the upcoming Marvel instalment.

Horn, for his part, agreed to meet Gunn 'only as a courtesy to clear the air, ' Variety reported.

Sources told Variety that although the meeting was "civil and professional", Horn stood by his decision to not reinstate Gunn as director.

Marvel president Kevin Feige was traveling on Tuesday when the meeting was held, according to sources, so he wasn't able to join.

The other actors associated with the franchise, including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and others have been pretty subtle in expressing their resentment with the studio's decision, never directly saying anything that might be averse to the executives.

Bautista has been extremely vocal in his support for Gunn and his frustration with Gunn's firing.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was slated for 2020 but this might change yet since a new director has yet to be found.

Marvel and Disney are also expected to soon begin the search in earnest for a new director to replace Gunn.

Bautista had earlier said he would quit the franchise if Gunn's script was not used.

The two films made so far about the superhero team have generated more than $1.5billion combined.
