In it, we saw hints that Diablo III will be released for the Nintendo Switch, but actual confirmation of the plan wasn't provided. According to a quickly deleted article on Forbes, Diablo III is headed to Nintendo's hybrid console later this year.

The news was prematurely posted on Forbes (now taken down) and made its rounds on the internet, including Reddit and Kotaku, both of which confirm interesting details about the ARPG port.

Diablo 3 - Eternal Collection for Switch will contain the all previous content releases, including the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions. It will launch at an MSRP of $59.99.

According to the leak, up to four players will be able to play on a single Switch, or play on separate Switch units cooperatively. This will come in addition to full online-multiplayer support, which will require a paid Nintendo Online subscription. A maximum of four people can play on one Switch, with multiple Switch's wirelessly, or through online.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection is rumored to be releasing later this year for the Nintendo Switch.

The package will also include a handful of Switch-exclusive Zelda-themed goodies, including a Ganondorf armor set, which you can equip to various classes, a Tri-Force portrait frame, a cucco pet, and Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings.

Blizzard Entertainment did not immediately respond to our questions about the Forbes report. Presumably one of those projects is Diablo 4, and the rest are ports and remakes of older games in the series, or maybe even original spinoff games.
