Goalkeeper David Ospina joins Napoli from Arsenal

Napoli have reportedly acquired the services of goalkeeper David Ospina from Arsenal on a temporary basis.

While current Arsenal FC #1 Petr Cech Twitter feuds with the former club of the man who could eventually supplant him, another Gunners goalkeeper, David Ospina, is also making news.

The 26-year-old has just one year left on his Arsenal contract and didn't want to go out on loan again this season so he's set to join Frosinone on a cut-price deal this summer.

"It is true that Ospina could arrive, we are negotiating, there are still some differences on the requests".

Ospina will then undergo his medical checks with Napoli in order to be put at the disposal of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

However, that has changed in the last 24 hours after Napoli apparently agreed upon a deal to sign the player on loan.

Simon Mignolet's future at Liverpool remains unclear, but any chance of a move to Napoli appears to now be off. But the Mexico global would have counted towards Napoli's quota of non-EU players. He's been a good servant for Arsenal but it's time for everyone to move on. He made a total of 70 first-team appearances during his four years at the Emirates although only 29 of those were in Premier League games.
