Arsenal Confident Of Striking A Deal For Midfielder

Chelsea were considering a £30million swoop this summer but a move never materialised and Ramsey's future remains unclear two matches into the season.

Arsenal handed Mesut Ozil a bumper contract worth a reported £350,000-a-week back in January and no doubt Ramsey's agents are using that deal as a benchmark in their negotiations.

But the RedTop do still think that Arsenal will convince him to stay, despite listing all the possible clubs he could go to.

SS Lazio and Barcelona, along with Chinese Super League clubs, have shown a desire to sign the 27-year-old.

Arsenal are desperate to tie key midfield star Aaron Ramsey down a new deal at the Emirates to avoid him leaving on a free transfer next summer.

Ramsey is reportedly willing to bide his time in order to improve his bargaining position as he holds out for an offer in excess of £250,000 per week.

The situation has alerted rival Premier League teams as the report says Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring developments closely and are ready to swoop if Ramsey doesn't pen a new deal in north London.

The Welsh midfielder - who was surprisingly left out of Unai Emery's starting XI that lost to Chelsea on Saturday - is out of contract next summer, when he will be able to leave the club on a free transfer.
