Writing in his Daily Mail column, he said: "Arsenal may have shown fight to battle back against Chelsea but their 3-2 loss only papers over the cracks".

Chelsea clinched the win when Marcos Alonso became their third Spaniard to score, converting a cross from substitute Eden Hazard who came on as a substitute in the 81st minute.

While Thibaut Courtois secured his dream switch to the Bernabeu, Hazard will not join him before the end of August. "Everybody knows what I said after the World Cup - but I'm happy here". I don't want to talk about it yet. Chelsea gave me everything in one moment that I needed and now I have a lot of time to give back all that Chelsea give me.

"I'm fine here. We'll see what happens in a year or two", Hazard told French news outlet RMC Sport. "I will not leave [this year]", Hazard revealed.

And with the Premier League transfer window now closed, the powerful midfielder could still get loaned out to a club in Germany, France or Spain, with Schalke having been keen admirers.

"Well, the tempo is higher, there is more space, but as I said it's not hard to adapt when you are surrounded by great players."
"And then today I think the team competed well, had chances in the match, and also the young players are playing each match and they are growing up with us". "We did very well in the last 25 minutes, but I think we have to work". I feel good here.

Despite Saturday's thrilling spectacle, in which Sarri could very easily be named the better boss out of the two, we've chose to give the debate a bit more context, with each of their career achievements being taken into consideration.

And, while frustrated at being left out of the starting XI, Hazard has bought into the methods of new boss Sarri, who arrived from Napoli to replace Antonio Conte ahead of the 2018-19 season.
