When the studio split from publisher Square Enix in 2017, many feared what would become of that world.

We're big fans of Hitman on PS4, and Hitman 2 is looking like a promising sequel. What's more, you might not have to pay a penny more to enjoy it.

For those who missed out on the awesomeness of Hitman's episodic content in 2016, IO Interactive has a glorious surprise in store. It does seem like new players will be able to purchase the pack separately once the game launches as well, but a price was not shared.

The developers showcased a new trailer today that introduces a "World of Assassination", which means not only will you be able to access new locales within the game, but also a few older favorites. Expect improvements from Hitman 2, such as new game modes and smarter AI, to feature in the Season 1 missions-Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado, and Hokkaido.

These will be introduced as part of the Hitman Legacy Pack, which will be made available as a free download to those that own the first Hitman game. The fact there's only one DLC would seem to suggest so. But for those that couldn't get enough of the lovely locales of the original Hitman: The Complete First Season, we've got some excellent news.

We've reached out to IO for clarification on these questions and will update as soon as we have an answer. As Hitman 2 is updated, so will the Season One missions.
