Los Angeles authorities looking into Asia Argento allegation

Asia Argento denies sexual assault accusations made against her and says Anthony Bourdain paid her accuser.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says that although it has no report of the alleged incident, it is reaching out to Bennett and his attorney for an interview.

A 37-year-old Asia Argento snuggled with then-17-year-old Jimmy Bennett on a bed, shirtless, their foreheads pressed together, her arm over his as they lay with satisfied smiles. that is the photo that Asia paid $380,000 for - a photo TMZ has now seen.

While reporting on the death of American travel host and chef Anthony Bourdain, who had been dating Argento, Severson said she began hearing stories about the Italian actor and director.

"What is perhaps most egregious is the timing, which suggests that at the very same time Argento was working on her own secret settlement for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, she was positioning herself at the forefront of those condemning Mr Weinstein, despite the fact that her sexual relationship with Mr Weinstein was between two consenting adults which lasted for more than four years".

"We made a decision to deal compassionately with Bennett's demand for help and give it to him". "Anthony personally took to help Bennett economically, upon the condition that he would no longer suffer any intrusions in our life".

In a statement to The Associated Press on Monday, a lawyer for Bennett said the actor "does not wish to comment on the documents or the events" at this time.

Argento did not immediately return Fox News' requests for comment.

"This development reveals a stunning level of hypocrisy by Asia Argento, one of the most vocal catalysts who sought to destroy Harvey Weinstein", the mogul's lawyer Ben Brafman said.

On that date, according to a notice of intent to sue document sent to Argento's then-lawyer in November, Argento met the actor at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Marina del Rey, Calif. "My heart is broken".

That payout was only a fraction of the $3.5 million that Bennett had requested in the notice. But grappling with sexual harassment and assault in the workplace is an issue that goes way beyond Hollywood, noted Severson, who was part of the wider New York Times team that earned a 2018 Pulitzer Prize for its reporting on workplace sexual harassment issues. Bourdain was found dead in a hotel room in June aged 61.
