Granted, an Irish autumn doesn't usually coincide with an army of the dead invading your hometown and killing everyone you know, but we still need something.

They continued: "So, maybe the second part of the vision will happen in season eight and Daenerys will join Drogo and her son by dying because she decides to go north". There will be just six episodes in season 8. A series must air between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019.

HBO had no comment on the show's Season 8 release date.

Now, this isn't confirmed by any official HBO outlets, and the HBO president of programming, Casey Bloys, has previously suggested that they're targeting the first half of 2019 for a release. Game of Thrones fans might have to wait a little longer for the upcoming season but HBO has surprised everyone with a first look of the show! In a blink-and-you-almost-missed-it moment, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) embraces Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) back home in Winterfell, according to Entertainment Weekly.

A key member of the Thrones production team has poured the ice-cold water on fan hopes in an interview with the Huffington Post.
