Fortnite's Season 5 Week 9 challenge seeks players follow clues on a Treasure Map to locate a hidden Battle Star. Waiting for you in that location will be a Battle Star (you won't miss it). As always, keep in mind to finish out the match you're in once you've completed one or more challenges in order to be sure you get credit for them. If you've kept up to date with all of the challenges in Season 5 up until now and complete the latest batch, you'll unlock a loading screen that features a group of characters gathered around the mysterious purple cube that recently materialized. Thanks to the new limited-time High Stakes event, there are three bonus challenges at the moment; they'll need to be completed while playing the High Stakes mode.

Regardless, using guides and practicing should help players eventually complete all of the Season 5 Week 9 challenges in Fortnite and add yet another hidden banner to their collection.

While you could go and try and find the treasure map for yourself in Shifty Shafts, we've got a better idea for you.

You don't actually need to find the treasure map in Shifty Shafts in order to complete this challenge. Head to the area at the start of the match and you'll find the banner floating in front of the cliff.

The location of Week 9's Battle Star is just north of Salty Springs.

If you need a more detailed look at where to find the free banner, we've put together a video showing its exact location above.
