Fox 'Chastised' Munn for Revealing Predator Cast Included a Convicted Sex Offender

Actor Boyd Holbrook has come forward to support his The Predator castmate Olivia Munn after she said she felt isolated from the film's actors.

The revelation that the cast of Shane Black's The Predator originally included a convicted sex offender by Olivia Munn saw the studio chastise the actor for informing her co-stars of the inclusion. But privately I did feel iced out and I think that's what's really important for people to understand is when you see something, you have to say something. I do not take any of what has gone on lightly, and I want to speak from the most honest and genuine place possible.

Munn's castmates from the movie also responded with silence, according to her, after she informed them about Striegel's past. His public apology also failed to address her directly.

"I want to start by apologizing for this statement coming late in the current conversation". I so appreciate that you "didn't leave well enough alone", & again, I'm sorry you feel isolated in taking action. After learning she had filmed a scene with a man who had committed sex crimes, she immediately notified Fox demanding that his one scene in the movie be cut from the film.

Striegel, who is a longtime friend of Black's, pleaded guilty in 2010 when faced with allegations that he attempted to lure a 14-year-old girl described as a "distant relative" into a sexual relationship online.

In a statement from Fox, the studio said it was "not aware of his background" during casting due to "legal limitations".

Directed by Shane Black from a script he wrote with Fred Dekker, The Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski.

Commenting on the notable absence of her fellow actors in the interview session, she added, "It's a very lonely feeling to be sitting here by myself when I should be sitting here with the rest of the cast".

We haven't really covered this whole deal on the site too much, so in case LRM's the only way you get your film news, I'll give you a rundown.
