Zidane expects to hear from Man Utd

Zidane left Real Madrid in May after winning a third consecutive Champions League title, and Mourinho has been engaged in disputes with the club hierarchy over transfers.

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he will be "coaching again soon". Soon I will return to training because it is what I like and is what I have done all my life'.

Zidane's experience, profile and availability all make him the ideal candidate to replace the Portuguese and if "AS" is to believed, Zidane already knows what he would like his United lineup to look like, with a few new additions included of course.

"Clearly he's going to be choosy", the former Chelsea midfielder said of Zidane.

"But I think he has to pick carefully here".

David de Gea would remain United's go-to man between the sticks, with Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw in the full-back positions. However, Zidane has been kept as a standby, if things change.

"Particularly to Manchester City, but potentially to Liverpool, who have spent".

With Marcus Rashford suspended following his sending off against Burnley last time out, there are two spaces up for grabs on the United bench so it seems Dalot is set to get his first taste of action with the senior squad this weekend. "It is (a risk)".

"There's another that is going out there and working with your chief executive or director of football and buying players and nearly rebuilding a team".

"So it would be a risk and I think that's why he would be well advised to choose carefully".
