Cameras are a significant part of smartphones these days and brands are trying up the game with each release.

Samsung isn't done taking the wraps off of new devices this year.

What does Samsung have in store?

Samsung will unveil a new Galaxy device next month that offers "4X the fun".

We've already seen Samsung Galaxy S9 and more recently Galaxy Note 9 redefine the flagship nature of smartphones, nonetheless the competition remains stringent.

In particular, the invitation carries the tagline "4x Fun", which could mean the upcoming device will boast four cameras.

So maybe Samsung's mysterious invite is referring to a plethora of cameras, or maybe not.

And now, it's holding another event next month.

Its entry-level XR only comes with a single-camera on the rear, so slapping four on a Galaxy handset might attract some floating buyers.

Samsung has scheduled an event in Malaysia on October 11, where the company is expected to launch a new smartphone under its Galaxy lineup.

Samsung has already confirmed it's set to announce its first foldable phone (codenamed the Galaxy X) before the end of the year, but now we expect that to come in November.
