Ariana Grande tried to help Mac Miller get sober

In the wake of Mac Miller's death, many have foisted the blame upon Ariana Grande, who dated the rapper for almost two years before splitting with him in May. Notable moments came from his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande, who posted a striking photo of Mac over the weekend, as well as fellow rappers like Chance, Kyle, Wiz Khalifa, Post Malone, and more.

'She was a f*cking G to him. Even then fans were blaming Grande, suggesting that she should have stayed with him because it was clear from his fourth album "The Divine Feminine" how important she was to him.

"Every time someone closest to me passes away, I always - I text their phone", he explained, choking up.

The successful American rapper, whose real name is Malcolm McCormick, died last Friday in his home after a history of drug addiction.

Miller and Grande broke up back in May after their work schedules made a regular relationship too hard to maintain, but even in the aftermath the couple remained very close and described their relationship as one of best friends. Grande then went on to date "SNL" star Pete Davidson, to whom she is now engaged.

The pair had dated for two years, breaking up earlier this year, with Grande saying on her Instagram that he remained her "best friend" and she wanted to "know him forever". "I am now not a babysitter or a mother and no girl ought to feel that they want to be ..."

Mac Miller's official cause of death is still unknown, according to his death certificate.

He added: "There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana".

"Let's please stop doing that", she continued.
