The Cincinnati Bengals could be without running back Joe Mixon for an undetermined period of time.

The timeline for Mixon's return won't be clear under after the procedure is completed, Pelissero and Garafolo reported.

The injury bug hit the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night after several players left the game against Baltimore.

Next up on the Bengals' backfield depth chart is Giovani Bernard, who will get a majority of the carries while Mixon recovers from surgery.

But against the Ravens on Thursday night, Mixon wasn't able to play the full game due to a knee injury, and that injury may have him sidelined for a bit. In the Bengals Week 1 victory against the Indianapolis Colts, Mixon carried the ball 17 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Despite the injury, the former Oklahoma running back racked up 84 yards on the ground and caught one pass for three yards.

As a rookie a year ago - he was chosen 84th overall, out of Oklahoma - Mixon got 178 carries but averaged just 3.5 yards per. He totaled 913 yards from scrimmage.
