Barcelona star Luis Suarez has played down the significance for his side of Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus from rivals Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old is yet to get off the mark through three fixtures and Albiol, who spent four years alongside Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu before heading to Napoli, expects one of the best in the business to find the going tough in new surroundings.

Raul Albiol played alongside the five-time Ballon d'Or victor during a four-year Bernabeu spell.

"Even if the coach's merit in winning titles is greater than the players, I don't think there is any coach more important than CR7 and I say that even though I think Zizou [Zidane] did an extraordinary job - above all expectations", he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Yes, we'll see what happens".

"It's a particular competition where things can change from one moment to the next and a single error can be decisive against top class opposition".

As reports continue to speculate about Pogba's relationship with Jose Mourinho, the World Cup victor has been linked with a return to Juventus, with Barcelona also said to be interested.

Asensio has notched 21 goals in 95 appearances for the Spanish giant including a notable strike in the 4-1 win over Juventus in 2017 Champions League.

"We've been joking with Paul", Matuidi said of his France team-mate.

"That doesn't necessarily mean the favourites will win the trophy, but obviously we feel that we are up there and have to prove it on the pitch".

"Our group is hard, not just because of Manchester United, but also Valencia".

"We have a very strong squad, with a lot of players who can express themselves over the season".
