Perry in hospital for three months after bowel surgery

Friends actor Matthew Perry has apparently been hospitalized for the past three months.

Ugh... HATE to see that!

A gastrointestinal perforation can be a life-threatening issue, so on the optimistic side, it's obviously imperative Perry got it taken care of... but the hospital recovery time.

Last month, a spokeswoman for the 49-year-old said he under went an operation in Los Angeles and was "grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals".

He said previously: "I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life and a lot of wonderful accolades but the best thing about me is that if an alcoholic comes up to me and says, "Will you help me stop drinking?' I will say, 'Yes".


Last month, Perry's representatives confirmed that he underwent surgery for a gastrointestinal perforation, a hole in an undisclosed area of the gastrointestinal tract. I wish you a speedy recovery.

The former Friends star took to Twitter on Friday to reveal more about his recovery from a recent surgery, one month after his rep confirmed he underwent a procedure in a Los Angeles hospital to fix a gastrointestinal perforation.

"He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals", a rep told U.S. publication PEOPLE.

Symptoms include severe abdominal pain and emergency surgery is usually required. "I shouldn't be getting an award; Phoenix House should be getting an award".

Recently, Perry's friend Kayti Edwards spoke about the height of the star's addiction, telling Us Weekly that he was "on a roll for about three months" when she realised how bad it had got.

Alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, he was one of the most recognisable faces on TV.
