Unai Emery still in the dark over Ivan Gazidis' future at Arsenal

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has reached an agreement over his salary with the AC Milan owners ahead of his proposed move to Italy.

"About our performance. About our ideas. Our process. Then, for his future we didn't speak".

"I don't know any other news from him. I think it's a question for him".

Speculation that Gazidis - who oversaw Emery's appointment to replace Arsene Wenger in May - will depart for AC Milan has intensified this week.

The Gunners return to action away at Newcastle following the worldwide break, with Emery's squad carrying no fresh injury concerns.

It was the first since Mesut Ozil made himself unavailable for Germany selection and Emery is hoping the playmaker will benefit from the extra rest and training sessions.

The president said, "UEFA and the Financial Fair Play? Mesut, I look at him with the focus totally here".

'[We get on] very well, ' Emery said.

Unai Emery is adamant that he wants Ramsey to remain at the club, but the player now holds the cards, and has a variety of clubs to choose from, should he decide to leave the Emirates after a ten year spell. 'I have a very good relationship with Mesut and professionally I push him for improvements to give us the best in his qualities and performances.
