It's been a rough beginning for Cardiff, as they've only managed to secure two points in their first four games. "At the moment, in my opinion, Liverpool and Man city are better than us".

Chelsea also made it five wins from as many games under Maurizio Sarri thanks to the brilliance of Eden Hazard, who scored a hat-trick in a convincing 4-1 win over Cardiff to edge ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.

Cardiff City's Sol Bamba celebrates scoring the opening goal during their English Premier League soccer match between Chelsea and Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge stadium in London Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018.

Liverpool now top the table with four wins out of four, though Chelsea and Watford are also on 12 points after their flawless starts to the season.

"We need to improve, and we can improve".

Sarri has been impressed with the Brazilian defender, as he said: "David has a big future here - he will be very useful for us".

WORST PLAYER - All the central roles were a disappointment for Chelsea really, with perhaps some hangover in the squad from the global break.

On paper, this game looks like a straightforward win for Chelsea.

New boss Sarri became just the fourth Premier League manager to win his first five fixtures in the division, following in the footsteps of Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola and Craig Shakespeare.

"Chelsea is his home, of course", Sarri said at a press conference, according to FootballItalia. "Yesterday I told him for me he can score 40 goals". However, they shouldn't underestimate Cardiff.

Two goals in three first-half minutes from Romelu Lukaku and Chris Smalling put the visitors in command.

Hazard scored his third goal in the 80th minute via a penalty before Brazil worldwide Willian netted the fourth and last goal for the Blues to win the match 4-1.
