The Horned Frogs led the Buckeyes 14-10.

The opening few weeks of college football include a mass of tune-up games.

Ohio State standout defensive end Nick Bosa left the No. 4 Buckeyes' game against No. 15 TCU with an injury on Saturday night. Ohio State leads TCU 10-0.

This game also is the final one in Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer's three-game ban. The match, however, was an intense one that would find TCU's Horned Frogs coming back with a 75-yard touchdown drive before the Buckeyes responded with a 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth. But in the end, talent won out.

The stakes weren't as high as in the previous games - the College Football Playoff championship win over OR four years ago OR even last year's Cotton Bowl win over Southern California - but this was a statement game for the Buckeyes on a day when many other Big Ten teams flopped.

It would begin when Parris Campbell landed a 63-yard catch and run, grabbing the pass from Dwayne Haskins before outrunning the TCU defense to lock in the touchdown.

The Buckeyes (3-0) looked like they might flunk it.

Ohio State led TCU 10-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. Buckeyes placekicker Sean Nuernberger kicked a 20 yard field goal.
