Here's how to help those impacted by the storm.

The Salvation Army sent a crew yesterday to the disaster area to help feed those who will return after the storm.

Hurricane Florence is a Category 2 storm and will hit the east coast somewhere between the South and North Carolina coastline.

They are now working in many jobs from running shelters to distributing food to victims of Hurricane Florence.

"We're helping people that are really in need".

"All of the barriers kind of drop in a time of crisis".

"Over the coming days, we're going to see a tremendous need for support".

Nissan, which recently kicked off a Titan pickup truck campaign highlighting its ongoing relationship with the disaster relief nonprofit, also set up a donation page for consumers to participate and is planning a Red Cross fundraiser Sept 20.

People have already shown up to donate spare items.

But she said the number of volunteers is changing every day.

The PepsiCo Foundation is donating $1 million in grants to relief agencies and 350,000 meals to communities affected by the hurricane.

On Saturday, Red Cross volunteers began to prepare the emergency response vehicles to head out to the Carolinas.
