Fret not if youre now wearing the Steel HR, as Withings support site states that it will be bringing out the multi-sport feature and connected Global Positioning System to all Steel HR watches. The HR Sport features Global Positioning System location (via your connected smartphone), heart rate tracking, VO2 max, smart notification including calls, messages and calendar integration, water resistance up to 50 metres, sleep tracking and 25 days battery life off a single charge.

The new device sports Global Positioning System connectivity, is water resistant, comes with an OLED display and is the first from Withings to offer Fitness Level assessments.

Steel HR Sport offers dedicated multisport tracking for over 30 different activities from yoga, volleyball and rowing to boxing, skiing and ice hockey.

A single side-mounted button is in charge of UI navigation, while the Steel HR Sport is also billed as the first product "within the Steel HR range" to offer Global Positioning System support.

The company has just announced the Steel HR Sport, a stainless steel fitness-tracking watch that is rated for 5 atmospheres or 50 meters of water immersion. "The display also shows smartphone notifications, which appear automatically along with a discreet vibration". Once paired with a smartphone, users can track their pace, distance, elevation and map their workouts while walking, running or cycling. Heart rate can be tracked live on a connected smartphone, and the device's new fitness metric can help you optimize training and, the company hopes, better achieve long-term goals.

When it comes to battery, Withings says the watch will be able to last for 25 days from a single charge and it'll also be able to handle another 20 days when it goes into a power reserve mode after that. There's also a Smart Wake-up feature that will buzz you awake with a silent vibrating alarm "at the most optimal time in your sleep cycle". Both Steel HR Sport as well the existing Steel HR product will benefit from enhanced notification capabilities, allowing a multitude of app notifications to be displayed on the digital screen.

The Steel HR Sport is available today for $199.95 on Withings' website and Amazon. It syncs with the free Health Mate app, but can also tie into Google Fit, Apple Health, and more. Both come with a standard black and gray silicone band, though Withings is offering a few additional bands that you can use instead.
