As luck would have it, today MySmartPrice has scored pictures of the "Google Home Hub", a product that is clearly Google's flagship hardware for its Smart Display software. Additionally, the Smart Display will work with Google Photos, allowing users to display their photos on the display as a slideshow.

Leaked photos claim to show a smart display, called the 'Google Home Hub, ' which features a 7-inch display mounted on top of a speaker. The device itself looks like a tablet that's been molded to the back of a speaker.

If the Google Home Hub is real, Google will hopefully give it a few extra features to help it stand out from the increasingly competitive crowd of smart displays.

One interesting fact about the Home Hub is that it is shown to only weight 480g. The device will ship in two color variants, chalk and charcoal. The company announced partnerships with Lenovo, Sony, LG and JBL to build smart displays at CES earlier this year, and Lenovo began shipping its Google Assistant-powered smart display last month. Let us know below. According to the retailer, the Smart Display should only cost $149.

There's no word on price, but similar devices retail for around $200.

All being well, the speaker should be a USP to make up for the lack of a camera. The source for the pricing details comes from Home Depot, a place where Google Home products are sold, and the source also confirms that the official listing for the Google Home Hub is already ready. In fact, a Google executive strongly hinted at plans to launch a smart display made by Google in an interview with Variety this spring.

The smart assistant war has been raging on for several years now between Google and Amazon.

But by branding its own product with the "Home" name, Google could be shaking things up.
