Moreover, OxygenOS 9.0 has added custom Accent color feature, allowing you to customize the color of the OnePlus 6's UI as per the choice.

"With Android Pie platform update, the OnePlus 6 features the brand-new Android Pie UI, Android P gesture navigation, expanded accent colour customisations, among others", OnePlus added. As per the official blog from OnePlus, the new OxygenOS 9.0 carries features such as new User Interface with adaptive battery support.

Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus has publicly rolled out Android 9.0 Pie update for its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone users in India. According to the changelog posted by OnePlus, the update includes new Do Not Disturb (DND) mode with adjustable settings and a new Gaming Mode 3.0. OnePlus advises against using a VPN to pull down the update as it is randomly assigning the OTA globally. An open beta version of the latest Android build was first offered earlier this month for the phone, but the release makes it clear that the real thing is finally here. Additionally, the update package brings in text notification mode and notification for 3rd party calls.

OnePlus said it will have a broader rollout of its update in a few days - "after making sure there are no critical bugs".

"OnePlus is driven by the idea of giving people the best possible hardware and software experience".

While this all sounds good in theory, it appears that the update has yet to reach any OnePlus 6 users. You can see the full list of changes that OxygenOS 9.0 brings down below. Going by the strategy of the company, its seems that OnePlus will most likely discontinue the OnePlus 6 soon after the launch of the upcoming OnePlus 6T.
