Arizona Congressman's 6 Siblings Turn Against Him in Opponent's Campaign Ad

Mr Gosar, who is one of ten children, has not yet responded to this most recent public attack by his siblings.

It opens with "Grace, rural physician", declaring, "Paul Gosar the congressman isn't doing anything to support rural America".

In an interview with The Washington Post, David Gosar said he and Paul Gosar split when Gosar told him he believed the "birther" theory that President Obama was not born in the United States. The siblings - Tim, Jennifer, Gaston, Joan, Grace and David Gosar- say they are making a values-based endorsement of Brill, and that their brother is too extreme in his views.

To maximise its impact, the ad doesn't name the six speakers until the end - they're just presented as normal Arizona folks.

Brill won the nomination in August and was harshly critical of Gosar during the primaries. Gosar has represented Arizona's conservative 4th district since 2011.

"It's intervention time", said another brother, Tim.

The siblings ad, released Friday, already has nearly 400,000 views.

Not long after, several of Gosar's siblings made financial donations to Brill's campaign, his campaign manager Todd Landfried said, according to the paper. There are also remarks from a "Grace" and a "Jennifer", as well as appearances by a "Joan" and a "Gaston".

Jennifer chimes in with, "If he actually cared about people in rural Arizona, I bet he'd be fighting for social security, for better access to healthcare".

"I couldn't be quiet any longer. We had to stand up for our good name".

Sister Joan Cosar, an engineer, says, 'I think my brother has traded a lot of the values we had at our kitchen table'. "This is not who we are". He also said Soros, a Democratic fundraiser, collaborated with Nazis during World War II, a claim pushed by far-right pundit Alex Jones and InfoWars.

In an interview with the Phoenix New Times, David Gosar had harsh words for his brother after the congressman suggested in the aforementioned Vice interview that George Soros bankrolled the neo-Nazis that marched on Charlottesville in 2017.

The Phoenix New Times reports Paul Gosar is the oldest of 10; three siblings don't appear in the series of ads, released by Brill Thursday.

David Brill is a doctor and he's running for Congress in Arizona.

He faces an uphill battle for the seat; Gosar trounced his Democratic opponent in the deep-red district in 2016, receiving 71.5 per cent of the votes.
