Guess what? Amazon isn't done with its new product announcements. It can stream the live and recorded video to Fire TV devices, the Echo Show, Fire tablets and "mobile devices". Once they're connected, you can place the duo anywhere in your home, and all your compatible devices will automatically connect, giving you immediate access to local OTA TV programming. Amazon said you can pre-order it now and it will launch later this year.

Fire TV Recast delivers the most reliable video streams over Wi-Fi of any over-the-air DVR. Yet you do get built-in storage with enough space for up to 75 hours of HD programs and free channel guide and on the go stream to help cover the slightly higher upfront cost.

When connected to a Fire TV streaming media player or a Fire TV Edition TV, your favorite live, recorded, and streaming content is all in one place. It features two tuners and a 500GB DVR, though a a four tuner TB option is in the works.

Access to the free Fire TV app on a Fire tablet (5th Gen or above), or an iOS 10 (or above) or Android 4.4 (or above) mobile device. The Fire TV Recast will have a programming guide (accessible through those other devices), and recording and playback is, of course, accessible via voice through Alexa-powered devices.

Your local TV antenna plugs into the Recast which can be placed anywhere so that you get the best signal possible. Fire TV Recast does not require any additional monthly charges or subscription fees.
